Norbert & Simona from Germany enjoyed 3 great days of diving with the Pirates. They are already planning a return trip next year–can’t wait to see you again!

The pirates at Sea Rovers welcomed returning brethren Uwe, Claudia and Amelia from Germany today. They decided to get their fins wet with a refresher dive at Mucky Pirates Bay. Captain Paul and Abdul accompanied them, running through a few skills, then leisurely cruising the site for weird & wonderful sea life.
A refresher is always a great idea at the beginning of your dive holiday. It gives you the chance to make sure all your gear is functioning properly, get your weighting right and fine tune your buoyancy.

Night dives at Mucky Pirates Bay with the Pirates of Sea Rovers are awesome! We often see frogfish, octopus, sometimes seahorses and other unique night time critters. When you book a dive package of 3 days or more, you will get a free night or shore dive.
Walter from Malaysia went out with dive guide Edi to shoot the creatures of the night here on our house reef. Hopefully Walter will send in some of his photos for us to share.

Walter from Malaysia had the luxury of a boat all to himself this morning and dove at the Underwater Temple Garden, and I got a chance to join him on his second dive at Midway here in Pemuteran. Both of us were toting monster camera systems set up for macro, and dive guide Edi found us some lovely subjects. Walter–send us some of YOUR shots.

In honor of World Oceans Day, I’d like to share my new website, Kat’s Ocean, with all of the Sea Rovers’ Brethren.

Thanks to my friend Lin Fronda back in the Cayman Islands who designed this logo 6 years ago–finally get to use it
The site is still a baby with lots of growing to do. I’ve never built a website before, so I’m still climbing a steep learning curve. You can learn more about me, my life in Bali and my diving adventures in the blog. I plan to expand the UW Photography Tips & Tricks section to perhaps offer courses and answer questions from registered users. There aren’t many pictures in the galleries yet; I have over 23,000 images going back to 2002 to sort through, so I hope you will keep coming back to check out what’s new (and what’s old).
