Another sighting of whales in the area, This time out at Close Encounters reefs where me and the three generations of the Family Webb were about to do the last dive of their SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course. Lucky buggers saw 5 whales, my last dive for my open water course was in the North Sea and I think I saw a blue rayed limpit and a crab.
These new divers are spoilt, totally spoilt, I tell you.

Couple of late afternoon photo’s from Close Encounters reef in Pemuteran. Water was a bit hazy so lighting wasn’t so great. Still couple of nice pics.
Barrel Sponge on Close Encounter more southern slope
Peter getting a photo (still waiting for some of Peter’s pics to post. Hint 😉
Oriental Sweetlips posing for the camera
Milky water reefscape on the top of Close Encounters, Plenty of Sargent-majors around protecting their eggs.
Soft coral, just liked the pattern.

Always one of my favourite dives is Close Encounters, 12yrs on and I still enjoy diving here. Lots of coral lots of life and a good place to find leafscorpions. But not when your playing with the new wide angle.
Here are a couple of my poor attempts, please be gentle it was my first time 😉
