Mucky Pirates Update
Once again s couple of interesting shots from your Mucky Pirate Captain.
Tiny walnut sizes crab was cool, scorpionfish crawling amongst the weed and a miniscule nudibranch on the weed.

Mucking around in the dark, always fun.
Me, me camera and Robin (guest pirate) headed out into the dusk to watch the change of shifts in Mucky Pirates Bay, Pemuteran. Armed with our spanky new UK C4 eLED’s we headed out to explore the murky depths right in front of Sea Rovers home port.
Again, this place is proving to be full of hidden surprises.
Pipeworms, pipefish, shrimps, crabs, seaslugs, cuttlefish, scorpionfish, wasp fish and more.
Will definitely be doing more of these.

(Note: highly recommend these touches and no we don’t get sponsorship (not that we wouldn’t object if they gave us some ;-). Went the whole dive on half power as they were just too bright otherwise)
Once again Mucky Pirates Bay provides…..
This tiny robust ghost pipefish must be less than 2.5cm.
Sorry the photo isn’t in focus on the pipefish, but the bugger was so small and wouldn’t stay still long enough for the camera to focus.

Again the Captain ventures forth in search of treasure and the allure of critters. After 104mins of poking around in our bay the batteries ran out and I had to come up.
The first cool pics is a very well disguised stonefish, cute zebra lionfish and a couple of shrimps for good measure.
There was more but I have to ruthlessly cut it down or it’d take you forever to download this page.
Enjoy…

More photos from the Muck.
Dragonet, Zebra lionfish, Robust Ghost Pipefish and a Bloody Big Nudi (could be a sea slug, haven’t got our full book collection yet)
Plus cuttlefish but the photo wasn’t that good.

Thought I’d have a poke around from the beach in front of the Dive Centre and look what I found. Knew there was stuff to find but hadn’t had a chance to really look. Guess I’ll have to dive more here.
Damn more diving.
